When You're Building Your "Smart" Brand Your First Offer Doesn't Have to Be Perfect - It Just Needs to Be Real (And Done!)
Your first offer is going to be far more than just a product or service, it is going to be a huge confidence builder and your first "feedback loop." This is the beginning of learning how to communicate real value to your target audience and getting some reps. It is the one thing that when you get good at it, will produce revenue, and help you build an email list.
So, here is a simple 3 layer, layered approach to building and making your first offer. Let's get started.
Level 1: Free and Frictionless | Easy Peasy and Fun to Create
Offer: 10-Point Checklist or Cheatsheet Create a one-page download that gives your audience quick wins. For example: "10 Ways to Audit Your Personal Brand In 15 Minutes" Goal: Start your email list and introduce your point of view.
Offer: 3-Day Email Mini-Course Teach a short, focused transformation via email. For Example: "Clarify Your Message In 3 Days" Goal: Build early trust while practicing content delivery.
Level 2: Guided & Introductory
Offer: Free 15 Minute Clarity Call - Invite people to book a short call with (limited spots). Goal: Learn what your audience is really struggling with - and get better at listening.
Offer: Low Cost Guide or Workshop ($7-$19) - Offer a paid resource with actionable steps. Example: "Create Your First Offer In One Hour - A Step-by-Step Workbook" Coal: Test pricing psychology and product market fit.
Level 3: Value & Validation
Offer: Live Group Workshop or Masterclass ($27-$49) - Host a One-Hour training session on Zoom with live Q&A Goal: Practice live delivery, collect testimonials, and get real-time feedback.
Offer: 1-On-1 Strategy Session ($49-$99) - Offer a structured hour with clear outcome. Example: "Offer-Lab: Build and Polish Your First customer Offer Together." Goal: Refine your process and discover your best-fit clients.
Your Offer Is Your "Repetition Engine"
Keep in mind that done is better than perfect. The idea here is to begin learning a new skill that has the potential to produce revenue beyond what you may have ever dreamed possible, but like everything you learn and every skill you acquire you have to practice and this is one of the most important skills needed to build a successful brand.
By practicing this exercise you will gain experience and ability in:
Crafting clear messaging.
Understanding your audience.
Building your voice and your authority.
Learning both, what works, and what doesn't.
In short, this is what takes your brand from just informative to a business. So don't wait for perfection, start offering, start learning and start building today!
